In my two favorite videos, Poet LJ Kittle describes her experiences and reflections as a Treatment Clinical Supervisor at SCI Muncy for almost thirty years and Kennetta Andrews talks about being schooled by the women she guarded. We spent many unforgettable evenings together. In fact, they schooled me. Having the opportunity to experience their wisdom, elegance and love of life is something I hold dear.

Kennetta Andrews was devoted to the well being of the incarcerated women she guarded for over three decades.

This reverse glass painting, 60"x48", has been exhibited at Eastern State Penitentiary and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Wiggins describes her grandmother's memory of the Ku Klux Klan.

Brenda Watkins has been sentenced to life without parole for decades. She describes her childhood and what she believes led her to her incarceration.

Terri Smallwood was released after over forty years in prison, thanks to the work of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. She died a few years later.

Rose Dinkins is still incarcerated, over 50 years later.

Avis Lee served 40 years, six months, and 12 days in prison before she was granted parole in 2021 for a murder she did not commit.

Cyd Berger is still enduring over 40 years of a life without parole sentence. The privilege to collaborate with her for over 30 years is a significant motivation to develop the Pardon Garden.
